Guide

Get set up in ten minutes.

Everything you need to go from purchase to your first alert, plus what every line and box on your chart means.

1. Getting access

Kairos is delivered as an invite-only script on TradingView, linked to your TradingView username.

  1. Check out through Whop and enter your TradingView username exactly as it appears on your profile. It's case-sensitive.
  2. Access is granted within 24 hours, and you'll get an email when it's ready. If it hasn't appeared by then, email support@kairosindicator.com.
  3. In TradingView, open a chart and click Indicators (or press /).
  4. Go to Invite-only scripts and click Kairos to add it to your chart.
  5. Star it (☆) so it appears under Favorites for next time.
Buyers also get the Kairos Strategy script in the same list. That's the backtesting version, covered in section 7.

2. Pick your presets

Two settings do most of the work. Open the indicator settings with the gear icon next to its name on the chart.

Chart detail (⑤ Appearance)

LevelWhat you see
CleanSignals, CHoCH only, the nearest order block and FVG, sweeps and previous day levels. Killzones as a faint background.
StandardAdds BOS, breaker blocks, liquidity lines, higher-timeframe FVGs, the midnight open and killzone boxes.
CustomEvery display setting exactly as you set it, including premium/discount, OTE and Silver Bullet boxes.
On 1-minute charts, try Clean, or Standard with killzone style set to Background.

3. Reading the chart

You seeIt means
CHoCH (bold, dashed)Change of character: price closed through the last swing against the trend. The trend may be turning.
BOS (faint, dotted)Break of structure: price closed through the last swing with the trend. The trend continues.
OB boxOrder block: the last opposite-colour candle before the move that broke structure.
Breaker (dashed outline)An order block price closed through. It often acts as support/resistance from the other side.
FVG box + dotted midlineFair value gap between candle 1's wick and candle 3's wick. The midline is the 50% level (consequent encroachment).
1H FVG (dashed outline)A fair value gap from a higher timeframe, shown on your lower-timeframe chart.
Dotted lines at swingsLiquidity: resting stop-losses above swing highs (buy-side) and below swing lows (sell-side).
EQH / EQLEqual highs / equal lows: stacked liquidity that price often targets.
✕A sweep: price wicked through a liquidity level and closed back on the other side.
Session boxesKillzones (Asia, London, New York AM, London Close) and SB Silver Bullet windows, in New York time.
PDH / PDL / PWH / PWLPrevious day and week highs and lows.
Premium / Discount / EQThe current swing range split at 50%. Longs are favoured in discount, shorts in premium.
▲ / ▼ with a gradeA signal. The green and red boxes are its target and stop, and the result is stamped when it closes.

4. The setup model

Every signal follows the same three steps. Here's a long setup; shorts are the mirror image.

  1. Sweep: price takes out a sell-side liquidity level and closes back above it.
  2. Shift: within the "Sweep → MSS window", price closes above the last swing high (CHoCH/BOS). The setup is now armed.
  3. Retrace: price comes back into a fair value gap created after the sweep and the candle closes. That's the signal.

A setup is cancelled if price closes back below the sweep, structure breaks the other way, or it expires. Only one trade is tracked at a time.

Grades

Each setup scores one point per confluence: killzone or Silver Bullet timing, higher-timeframe bias, entry in discount/premium, displacement on the break, and a sweep of key liquidity. A+ = 5, A = 4, B = 3, C = 2 or fewer. Set Minimum setup grade to hide the rest. The dashboard's "By grade" row shows how each grade has performed on your chart.

5. Risk settings

SettingWhat it does
Stop placementSweep extreme puts the stop beyond the wick that took liquidity (wider, safer). FVG edge puts it beyond the gap (tighter, more stop-outs).
Target (R multiple)Target distance as a multiple of risk. 2R means the target is twice as far as the stop.
Max stop distanceSkips signals whose stop would be unusually far away.
Move stop to breakeven atMoves the stop to entry once the trade is this many R in profit. 0 turns it off.
Account size / Risk %Used for the suggested size in the dashboard and alerts. Many traders risk 1% or less per trade.
The size shown is a suggestion based on your settings, not advice. Check your broker's contract specs and margin before trading. Micro contracts (MNQ, MES) let you trade smaller than full-size futures.

6. Alerts

The one-alert setup (recommended)

  1. Open the indicator settings → ④ Alerts and tick what you want to hear about.
  2. On the chart, click Alert (the clock icon) or press Alt + A.
  3. Condition: Kairos → Any alert() function call.
  4. Under Notifications, choose app push, email, or a webhook URL. Click Create.
Alerts are tied to one symbol and timeframe. Create one per chart you want to watch.

Discord

  1. In Discord: Server settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New webhook, pick a channel and Copy webhook URL.
  2. In Kairos settings, set Message format to Discord webhook.
  3. Create the alert as above and paste the URL into Webhook URL.

JSON (automation)

Set Message format to JSON (webhook). Each alert then sends fields such as event, side, grade, entry, stop, target and size.

Webhooks require a paid TradingView plan. If you connect alerts to an automation service, you're responsible for testing it and for every order it places.

7. Backtesting

The Kairos Strategy script runs the same signal logic through TradingView's Strategy Tester, with fills at the next candle's open plus commission and slippage.

  1. Add Kairos Strategy from Invite-only scripts and open the Strategy Tester tab.
  2. In its settings, match the signal and risk settings you use on the indicator.
  3. On the Properties tab, set commission to your broker's real cost, e.g. cash per contract for futures.
  4. Test several markets and months. Look at profit factor, max drawdown and number of trades, not just net profit.
Backtests are hypothetical and have real limitations. A good backtest doesn't guarantee future results. Fewer than ~100 trades is usually too small a sample to draw conclusions.

8. Starting settings

9. Troubleshooting

The dashboard says "Bias (chart)"

The bias timeframe isn't higher than your chart timeframe. Set ③ Higher-Timeframe Bias → Bias timeframe to 1 hour or higher.

I'm not getting signals

Signals need all three steps, so quiet markets produce fewer. Check that Longs/Shorts are enabled, that Minimum grade isn't too strict, and that the killzone or Silver Bullet filters aren't on outside those hours.

The chart looks cluttered

Switch Chart detail to Clean, or lower the "Max per side" settings for order blocks and FVGs.
